First drawing of the year 2008~ :3

Oh my god...this picture took me forever to do. But I loved drawing it SO much. Wanted me to draw her a happy birthday picture for my 10 free sketches thing.... but since its her birthday, and shes a good friend of mine, I decided to take it a step further and color it with my new Prismacolor markers I got for Christmas. This IS my firs time using markers, so no harsh critiques on it. In total, this probably took me 15 hours to draw + lineart + color. I know I used the wrong shade of peach for skin, but I didn't realize that until AFTER the skin layer was on...and you cant erase marker *needs to get used to that xD* Even after I tested the marker on scratch paper. *sigh* oh well, its a learning experience.

I also desicded to use 's OC Yumi, mixed with Kanna from my favorite series Ever, AIR tv. I think for my first time drawing Kanna I did a good job, no? xD; As for the background...my first sky with markers, I know it looks like shit ok? So dun give me cra p about something I already know. Give me pointers on how to DRAW the sky. Just don't say "the sky looks weird" because i'll hate you. I really will xD Watch me... >>;

I know Yumi's shoulders look melty, but give me a break...I haven't done a traditional piece in awhile xD;

Supplies used:
- Prisma Color markers 150 set
- Photoshop 7
- Copic Multiliner inking pen
- 15 + hours working time
